60, a resident of Henderson, died Tuesday Feb. 7 at Jim and Betsy Hospice Home in Pittsboro. He was the son of William Burwell, Sr. of Henderson and the late Mary Francis Royster Burwell. He was a carpenter by profession.

He is survived by three daughters, Kendrea Burwell of Henderson, Brittany Marrow of Clarksville, VA and Bryannia Wilson of Chase City, VA; one son, LaBarron Burwell of McLean, VA; six sisters, Sherry Roberts and Joan Williams both of Stovall, Angela Burwell, Markeitha Gregory and Lizette Perry all of Oxford, and Tina Burwell of Henderson; three brothers, William Burwell, Jr. of Henderson, David Burwell of Butner and Tony Burwell of Fuquay Varina; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 2pm at Spring Street Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. AnTroy Brown and Rev. Steven Hargrove. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park in Oxford. No public viewing is scheduled. Please observe Covid-19 protocols of facial coverings and social distancing of sx feet or more.
