63, a resident of 210 Red Oak Road, Henderson transitioned on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh. He was the son of the late James Howard Thomas and Martha Hart Thomas.

He is survived by his wife Cheryl Moon Thomas; two daughters, Jennifer Moon and Becky MacGowan both of Chapel Hill; one son, Josh Moon also of Chapel Hill; one sister, Jacqueline Renee Harris (Carl) of Oxford; three brothers, James Clifton Thomas (Debra) of Silver Springs MD, Frank Edward Thomas (Debra) of Fayetteville and Frederick Thomas (Debra) of Creedmoor.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday Oct. 4 at 2pm at New Hope Granville Baptist Church by Rev. James Isaac III. A viewing is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 3 from 5pm-7pm at Wright Funeral Home.
