85, a resident of 7167 NC Highway 96 North, died Tuesday, March 28 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Sam Wilkerson and Marie Bailey Wilkerson. She was a retired healthcare provider.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Thorpe and Penelope Mason both of Oxford; two sons, Lawrence Hobgood of Oxford and Carlos Hobgood of Creedmoor; one brother, Levon Wilkerson of Oxford; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 1 at 2:00 P.M. at Oak Grove Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. Charles Bullock. Burial will be in the St. Semeons Episcopal cemetery. A viewing is scheduled for Friday, March 31 from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home.
