73, a resident of Atlanta, GA and a native of Durham, died Saturday, January 30 in Atlanta, GA. She was the first of four children born to the late CW4 Percy L. Hall and Theresa Brower Hall. She attended Hillside High School where she was the editor of the "Hornet".

She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Howard University and a Master's Degree from Catholic University, both in Washington, DC. She was a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority's Alpha Chapter, which brought her into a quite wide circle of sisterhood. Having always realized the importance of humanity, and the parallel and convergent needs of human kind, she sought to live true to the sorority's commitment to serve with a benevolence towards others. Having always been attracted to the world of fashion, Judy attended and completed training at Ford Models (f/k/a The Ford Modeling Agency) in Washington, DC, after which she landed multiple commercial assignments. She easily put her poise and grace on display for the camera.

Her professional career began with the Washington DC public School System, and then through four decades with the corporate entities of IBM and Merrill Lynch where she retired as a Senior Account Executive. After retirement she never lost her devotion to the original five tenants of the AKA Sorority. Quietly, almost deliberately unnoticed and unassuming, Judy focused on the targeted benefactors of those whom the sorority sought to assist and nourish. Sequentially, she promoted high scholastic standards, encouraged cultural unity, advanced social statue and poise, and sought to inspire a thirst for knowledge among others. this was her own recipe of "Service to All Mankind". This was foundational to her upbringing, and it undergirded her focus throughout her life, which now sets an example for us all.

She was also predeceased by a brother, Percy L. Hall, II.

She is survived by her son, John Orion Quick II of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Lonnie D. Hall (Debbie) of Stone Mountain, GA, and Larry D. Hall (Geeta) of Durham, a sister, Jacquelyn Vaughn-Wright (George) of Oxford; sister-in-law, Elizabeth V. Hicks Brewington of Parkton; five nephews, Adrian L. Hall (Tina) and Timothy Chapman (Mia) both of Charlotte, Harrison A.L. Hall (Kimberly) and Carrington D.A. Hall III both of Fayetteville; and Hamilton G.I. Hall IV of Stone Mountain, GA; five nieces, Theresa M. Wright-Bryant (Don) of Wake Forest, LaToya Hall of Charlotte, Jessica Hall Duarte (Marcel) of Las Vegas, NV, Captain Michelle N. Ivey (Steffon) of Warner-Robbins AFB, Macon, GA, and Zaara N. Hall of Durham.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 6 at 1:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home Chapel. A viewing is scheduled for Friday, February 5 from 4PM-6PM at Wright Funeral Home. Covid-19 protocols will be observed - face coverings and social distancing of six feet or more.

In lieu of flowers, Judy would prefer donations be made to the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (donate.akaeaf.org) in her honor, to further the coveted ideals she shared with her sorority.
