51, a resident of 203 Wilmington Avenue, died Friday, December 15 in Raleigh.. He was the son of the late John Douglas Wright and Mable Lue Davis Wright. He was a former supervisor with Heil Gold Mines.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Shelby McKay Wright; a daughter, Letasha Nicole Ramos (Andres) of Fort Hood, Texas; three grandchildren, one of whom he raised as a son, Devin McKay, Gabriel Ezekiel Ramos and Zoe Dahlila Ramos; two brothers, Michael Wright (Jeanette) of Oxford and Darryl Felder of Chesterfield, Virginia; an uncle, Clarence Kingsbury (Nikki) of Oxford; two sisters-in-law, Shena Ellis of Cary and Nena Mungo (Kenny) of Pageland, South Carolina; a step-mother, Mary Snead Jones of Virginia; a step-mother-in-law, Brenda McCaskill (Lee) of Pageland, South Carolina; and a special cousin, Kim Pettiford of Oxford.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 23 at 2:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home by Pastor Ronnie Cobb. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park. There will be no public viewing.
