75, a resident of 204 Railroad Ave., died Monday, February 5 at Duke Regional Hospital. He was the son of the late James Hutcherson and Annie Lee Overby Hutcherson. He was a thirty-three year retired employee of Bandag, a member of New Grassy Creek Baptist Church and a Masonic Mason.

He is survived by a daughter, Tina Battle of Oxford; a son, DeLawrence Brooks of Washington, DC; five sisters, Mary Kilgore and Barbara J. Downey both of Oxford, Linda Hutcherson, Priscilla Johnson and Annie Mildred Thomas all of Philadelphia, PA; two brothers, William Hutcherson of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Marvin T. Nevels of Oxford; eleven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Gregory Hatcher. Burial will be in New Grassy Creek Baptist Church cemetery. A viewing is scheduled for Friday, February 9 from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home.
