72, a native of Granville County and a resident Durham, died Monday, March 8. He was the son of the late Otelia Paschall Green. He was a retired veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Winston Green; two daughters, Katrice Green Chitambira of Durham and Dr. Teresa D. Green of Raleigh; a sister, Nannie Mae Thorpe of Creedmoor; a brother, James Thomas Green of Kentucky; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 14 at 3:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Cyrus Waters, Sr. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a date to be announced. A viewing is scheduled for Saturday, March 13 from 4pm-6pm at Wright Funeral Home (viewing restricted to no more than ten people in the room at any one time wearing facial coverings and practicing social distancing of six feet or more.
