71, a resident of Cannady Mill Road, died Friday, May 12 at his home. He was the son of the late Joe Green, Sr., and Lucille Davis Green. He was a retired barber.

He is survived by two sisters, Charlotte Green Hester of Oxford, and Helen Green Greer of Henderson; and eleven brothers, Earl Green of Kittrell, Ervin Green, Henry Green, Otis Green, Kenneth Green and Leon Green all of Oxford, Larry Green of Wake Forest, Donald Green, Ronnie Green and Keith Green all of Durham, and Michael Green of Henderson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 19 at Hawkins Chapel Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. Kenneth Williams. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park. Attendees are asked (for everyone's safety) to observe Covid-19 protocols of facial coverings and practice social distencing of six feet or more.
