68, a resident of 304 Whitten Ave., Henderson, died Tuesday, June 21 at Duke Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Sandy Hawkins and Betty Thorpe Hawkins Winston.

She is survived by two sons, Derrick Hawkins (Annette) of Henderson and David L. Williams of Tampa, FL; a sister, Bettie Royster of Raleigh; two aunts, Rev. Catherine Cooper Mills and Ida Williams both of Oxford; two uncles, Isaac Thorpe and Rev. Waverly Mills both of Oxford; and five grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted Friday, June 24 at 11am at Huntsville Baptist Church by Rev. Waverly Mills and Rev. Catherine Mills. Mrs. Williams requested no public viewing.
