Jessie Clara Alston Cheek Baynard, 89, of Hillard Rd, Louisburg, transitioned on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at her residence. She was born in Franklin County to the late Van and Jessie Kearney Alston.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Baynard; four children: Donnetta Cheek Davis of Louisburg, Carey Cheek of Baltimore, MD, April Baynard-Marcano of Franklinton, and Monique Brown of Baltimore, MD; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 12 pm, Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Rowland Chapel Christian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Viewing will be one hour prior to the service.
