Rev. Jesse Lee Yowell, Jr, 80, of Ridgewood Dr, Creedmoor, transitioned on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the Durham VA Medical Center. He was born in Cincinnati, OH to Thelma Wiley Yowell and Jesse Yowell Sr.

He is survived by his wife Karen Merritt Yowell; children: Alexis Yowell of Durham, Ezra Yowell of Raleigh, Janael Yowell of Durham, Tammi Yowell of Louisville, KY, and Jesse Yowell, III of Louisville, KY; a spiritual son Darrell Franklin (Gloria) of Red Springs, NC; eight grandchildren and a host of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am, Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave. Raleigh, NC 27612. Viewing is scheduled for Friday, February 14 from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
