87, a resident of 510 Orange  Street, died Saturday, Oct. 2 at his home. He was the son of the late Earnest Daniel and Miranda Skinner Daniel. He was a retired employee of Bandag, Inc.

He is survived by his wife, Lila Lyon Daniel; his daughter, Crystal Terry of Henderson; two sons, Jefferson "Jeff" Daniel, Jr. of Chapel Hill and Reginald "Reggie" Daniel of the home; a sister, Juanita Boyd of Baltimore, MD; two granddaughters, Cherelle Orellana (Andrew) of Broadway and Ciara Terry of Henderson; and two great grandchildren.

Rev. Andrew Orellana, assisted by Rev. Johnnie White, will conduct a graveside service Wednesday, Oct. 6 at 2pm at Olive Grove Baptist Church cemetery. A viewing will be held Tuesday, Oct. 5 from 5pm-7pm at Wright Funeral Home. All services will observe Covid protocols of facial coverings and social distancing of six feet or more.
