82, a resident of 417 Person Street, died Monday, Oct. 14 at her home. She was the daughter of the late James H. and Rebecca Taylor, and the widow of James Howard Thomas.

She is survived by two sons, Franklin Curtis Chavis of Akron, OH and David Dobbs of Louisburg; a step-daughter, Jacqueline T. Harris of Oxford; four step-sons, James C. Thomas of Maryland, Frank E. Thomas of Fayetteville, Fredrick S. Thomas of Creedmoor, and Keith D. Thomas of Washington, DC; twenty step-grandchildren; twenty-three step-great grandchildren; and fourteen step-great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Oct. 19 at 11:00 A.M. at Greater New Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Minda Williams. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park. A viewing is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 18 from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home.
