78, a resident of 6574 Sidney Cottrell Rd., died Thursday, May 5 at his home. He was the son of the late Willie Lee Royster, Sr. and Lucy Ann Crosby Royster.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Heggie Royster; three sons, Wallace Royster (Tina) of Franklinton, Stanley Royster (Beverly) and Kevin Royster (Sandra) both of Oxford; one daughter, Jerine Gibbs of Durham; four brothers, Willie Lee Royster, Jr. of Morristown, NJ, Clinton Royster of Stovall, Harry Truman Royster of Waterbury, CT and Albert Royster of Bullock; seven sisters, Bessie Louise Royster and Janie Royster both of Bullock, Ernestine Royster of East Orange, NJ, Pauline R. Robinson of Wharton, NJ, Ethylene Eggleston of Richmond, VA, Alberta Royster of Petersburg, VA and Caffie Reid of Alexandria, VA; eight grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home by Rev. Walter E. McLeod. Burial will be in Zoar Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery. A viewing will be held Sunday, May 8 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home.
