Obituary

93, a resident of 2081/2 East Lyon Street, Creedmoor, died Saturday, August 29 at Hillside Nursing and Convalescent Center in Wake Forest. He was the son of the late Frank Ragland and Annie Bridges Ragland. He was a retired employee of Southern States.

He is survived by two daughters, Alfreda Williams of Decauta, GA and Yette Ragland of Dumfries, VA; two sons, Cecil Ragland of Franklinton and Aldric Ragland of Stem; one sister, Lillian McClelland of Creedmoor; and four grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, September 2 at 11:00 A.M. at Belton Creek Baptist Church cemetery. A viewing will be held Tuesday, September 1 from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home. All services will observe Covid-19 guidelines of face masks and social distancing of six feet or more.

Regardless of misleading information you might hear that these precautions are not needed - take it from me, I'm in the death business, and Covid-19 is getting stronger in Granville County. PLEASE, PLEASE DON'T LET YOUR GUARD DOWN. Your family needs you. And don't forget to vote. See to it that everyone in your household that is able to vote - VOTES.
