88, a resident of 1627 US Highway 1 South, died Sunday, July 18 at Maria Parham Medical Center. He was the son of the late Paul Green and Roxanna Jenkins Green. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Ida Bullock Green; a brother, Charles Green of Henderson; two sisters, Mary Hunt of Middleburg, and Irene Russell of Creedmoor.

A graveside service, with military honors, will be conducted Friday, July 23 at Sunset Gardens by Rev. Eddie W. Lawrence. The family will receive visitors Thursday, July 22 from 5pm-7pm at Wright Funeral Home. All attendees are required to wear facial coverings and observe social distancing of six feet or more. This pandemic is NOT over.
