88, a resident of 701 29th Street, Butner, died Friday, June 8 at Eno Pointe Assisted Living in Durham. He was the son of the late Gilbert Allen and Addie Lyon Allen. He was a retired Auto Mechanic.

He is survived by two daughters, Thomasene Andrews of New York, NY and Tena Allen of the Bronx, NY; a son, James Edward Allen of Butner; four brothers, Herman Allen of New York, NY, Willian Allen, Marshall Allen and George Allen; four sisters, Mazie Allen of Butner, Yvonne Allen of Bronx, NY, Florine Allen and Ethelene Allen both of New York, NY; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 13 at 11:00 A.M. at Wright Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Haywood Dock. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens. A viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, June 12 from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors at the home of George Allen, 701 29th St. in Butner.
