Jacqueline Burwell Rice, 62, of Big Ruin Creek Lane, Henderson, transitioned Friday, December 12 at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh. She was born in Vance County to the late Charles Omega Burwell, Sr. and Mishew Perry Burwell.

She is survived by her husband, Reverend Thomas "Tommy" Rice; a daughter, LaToya Henderson of Oxford; four siblings: Charles O Burwell, Jr (Wilma) of Oxford, Patricia B. Brandon of Raleigh, Larry Burwell (Marshalle) of Creedmoor, and Annette B. Johnson of Fuquay Varina.
