Issac Lee Herndon, Jr., a resident of 5126 Forest View Heights, died Sunday, April 21 at Duke University Medical Center. he was the son of the late Isaac L. Herndon, Sr. and Ruby Mae Cooper Herndon. He was a retired employee of Blue Cross Blue Shield.

He was a member of First Baptist Church.

He is survived by a son and daughter, Isaac L. Herndon III and Tatisha Herndon both of Durham; five sisters, Patricia Henderson and Irishtine Cox both of Oxford, Dr. Elaine Yarborough, Dr. E. Jean Herndon and Yvonne Rogers all of Durham; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 27 at 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church by Rev. Lacy Joyner. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors Friday, April 26 from 7:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home, and at other times at the residence of Patricia Henderson, 4029 Richard lane.
