97, a resident of 6131 Cornwall Rd., transitioned Friday, Nov. 22 at Granville Health Systems. She was the daughter of the late Lucious Hawley and Martha Jane Hawley. She was a retired seamstress.

She is survived by two daughters, Nadine McNeill of Richmond, VA and Edith Jeffers (Edward) of Oxford; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Nov. 30 at 1pm at New Hope Granville Baptist Church by Rev. James Issac III. Burial will be in the Hawley Family cemetery. A viewing has been scheduled for Friday, Nov. 29 from 4pm-6pm at the funeral home.
