91, a resident of 530 Mitchell Street, Henderson, transitioned Saturday, Oct. 12 at Brantwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Oxford. He was the son of the late Horace Canady, Sr. and Annie Mae Edmundson Canady. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his son, Horace Canady Bell of Brooklyn, NY; four sisters, Grace Watson of Kinston, Eva Baker of Dover, Clementine Wilkins of Brooklyn, Ny and Renee Bricon of El Cerrito, CA; one brother, Wade Cox of Henderson; two granddaughters, Tamara Bell of Stanford, CT and Tyasia Eurquhart of New York, NY; two great grandchildren; and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 19 at 12pm at Calvary Temple Holy Church by Pastor Elder Clevon Maye, Jr. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery. A viewing has been scheduled for Friday, Oct.18 from 5pm-7pm at Wright Funeral Home.
