Helen Taborn Parham Oakley, age 79, gently passed away at her home on Belltown Road on October 19, 2026. Born to Earlie James and Rebecca Washington Taborn in Granville County, Helen carved a life of compassion and care as a dedicated registered nurse, touching countless lives with her gentle spirit.

She leaves behind a legacy of love through her cherished family: her devoted husband, John Oakley; her beloved daughters, Aquanetta Parham of Oxford and Yayolka Oakley of Butner; and her treasured grandchildren. Helen is also survived by her sister, Marianna Wilkerson, and brother, James Edward Taborn, both residing in Patterson, New Jersey.

Helen’s journey was one of devotion, and her memory will forever remain a beacon of warmth and kindness in the hearts of those she touched.
