74, a resident of 1235 Hatch Road, Chapel Hill, died Thursday, March 29 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Robert Gwynn and Hallie Turner Gwynn of Caswell County.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Ned Thorpe; two daughters, Robin Michele Thorpe of Hillsborough and Kimberly Thorpe Kirkpatrick of Greensboro; two sisters, Linda G. Mims of Reidsville and Bessie G. Thomas of Greensboro; three brothers, James Gwynn of Pelham; Curtis Gwynn of Greensboro and Tyrone Gwynn of Danville, VA; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 3 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 106 Roberson St. in Chapel Hill by Rev. Norman T. Umstead, Jr. Burial will be in Carrboro Cemetery. The family will receive visitors thirty minutes prior to services at the church. A viewing is scheduled for Monday, April 2 from 11:00 a,m, until 6:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home.
