84, a resident of Oxford, died Monday, April 5 at Compass Healthcare in Mebane. She was the daughter of the late Jollie Conyers and Marie Johnson Conyers of Pinewood, SC. She was the widow of Calvin Hester.

She is survived by two daughters, Willien H. Battle of New York and Sheila Hester of Oxford; her son, Dwight Hester of Oxford; a sister, Ivory Conyers of New Yory, NY; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a vast number of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and caring friends.

Rev. Quintin Taborn will conduct graveside services Sunday, April 11 at 2:00 P.M. at Meadowview Memorial Park. A viewing is scheduled for Saturday, April 10 from 2pm-4pm at Wright Funeral Home. Remember all services require facial coverings and social distancing of six feet or more. Viewing is restricted to no more than ten people in viewing area at any one time. BE SAFE!!!
