81, a resident of 2667 Hester Road, died Saturday, Sept. 24 at Brantwood Nursing and Convalescent Center. She was the daughter of the late Willie Green and Ila Bullock Green. She was a retired educator and the widow of Hubert L. Gooch, Jr. She is survived by three daughters, Katrina G. Lawson of Roxboro, Annette Gooch of the home and Sheila G. Bailey of Creedmoor; one son, Aubrey Gooch of Durham; two sisters, Evelyn Green and Marene Landis both of Creedmoor; one brother, Tony Green of Creedmoor; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Sept. 29 at 1:00 P.M. at Synama Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Cleotis Lawson presiding. The family will receive visitors Wednesday, Sept. 28 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home.
