83, a resident of 500 Prospect Ave., transitioned Sunday, April 20 at Granville Medical System. She was the daughter of the late William Pettiford and Hallie Henderson Pettiford.

She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Carter of Henderson; two sisters, Ella Pettiford Redding (Robert) and Diane Bumpass (Ricky) all of Oxford; two brothers. Larry Pettiford (Bettie) of Oxford and Bobby Pettiford (Wanda) of Creedmoor; one grandson and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2pm Thursday, April 24 at Oak Grove Baptist Church by Rev. Robert Jones and Bishop Kenny Hester. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park. A viewing is scheduled for Wednesday April 23 from 5pm-7pm at Wright Funeral Home.
