70, a resident of 297 Lane Store Road, died Thursday, May 19 in Franklinton. He was the son of the late Johnny Jones and Pearl Strickland Jones. He was a retired machinist.

He is survived by one son, Mickey Jones of Raleigh; three daughters, Joyce Jones of Franklinton, Kimberly Jones and Erica Jones both of the home; one brother, Johnny Jones, Jr. of Bridgeport, CT; two sisters, Alla Jane Madison of Bridgeport, CT and Mamie J. Privette of Raleigh; seven grandchildren, Keyara Burk, Demetrius Burk, Taquom Jones, Travon Jones, Jordan Montague, Kymani Jones and Breanna Jones;four sisters-in-law, Geneva Henderson (Jasper), Sandra Terry (Darnell), Shelia Terry (Nathaniel) and Linda Moore Jones; a special friend, Javell Massenburg; and a vast number of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 24 at 2:00 p.m. at Nelson Chapel Baptist Church in Louisburg.
