70, a resident of 224 Wilmington Ave., died Friday, September 25 at her home. She was the daughter of the late James Louis Oakley and Corrine Anderson Oakley.

She was a member of Olive Grove Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Sharon T. Wilkes of High Point, NC, Keneasha T. Jones and Teresa Thornton both of Oxford; two sons, Lamorris Thornton of Burlington, NC and Lamont Thornton of Oxford; three brothers, Albert Oakley of Lora, SC, John Oakley and Tommy Oakley both of Oxford; fifteen grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 1 at Olive Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewing will be Wednesday, September 30 from 11:00 A.M until 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors at the residence.
