65, a resident of 7028 US Hwy 15 N. transitioned on Monday, Feb. 12 at Duke Regional Hospital. He was the son of Rochelle Pettiford Watkins and the late James Watkins. He was a carpenter by profession. He was a member of Hardy Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by a son, Shawn Hester of Oxford; his mother, Rochelle Pettiford Watkins of the home; one brother, James Edward Watkins, Jr. of Oxford; three sisters, Selina Lidell of Savanah, GA, Georgia Watkins and Lisa Ragland both of Oxford.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Feb.18 at 2pm at Wright Funeral Home Chapel A viewing is scheduled for one hour prior to services. Face masks are required.
