Fred Holding, 85, Bruce Garner Road, Creedmoor, transitioned Monday, November 2, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Granville County to the late Sanford and Pearl Mangum Holding.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Braswell Holding; four children: Reginald Holding (Samantha) of Creedmoor, Frederick Holding of Durham, Tonya Ashe (Michael) of Oxford, and Josette Cooper (Dewayne) of Creedmoor; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm, Monday, November 9, 2026, at New Light Missionary Church (15408 New Light Road, Wake Forest, North Carolina 27587) by Rev. Dr. Cicero Williams, Jr. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be from 5pm to 7pm, Sunday, at Wright Funeral Home.
