Frances Green Strater, 88, of 3227 Sam Moss Hayes Rd, transitioned on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at her residence. She was born in Granville County to the late Melvin Green, Sr and Mable Parker Green.

She is survived by her children: James Strater of Oxford, Jacquelin Coffin of Creedmoor, NC and Kristie Daniel of Durham, NC; one sister, Annie Dillard of Washington, DC; seven grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 pm, Friday, February 7, 2025 at Synama Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Viewing will be from 5 to 7 pm, Thursday, February 6 at Wright Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
