Evelyn Pearce Smith, 89, of Lyon Street, Creedmoor, transitioned on Wednesday, June 18 at Universal Healthcare. She was born in Franklin County to the late Joseph and Maggie Neal Pearce.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm, Wednesday, June 25 at Rock Spring Missionary Baptist Church (3180 Bruce Garner Rd, Creedmoor, NC 27522). Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing is scheduled for 5pm to 7pm, Tuesday at Wright Funeral Home.

She is survived by three children: Everett Smith of Raleigh, Teresa Tharrington (Jerome) of Creedmoor, and Rita Brooks (Donald) of Oxford; one brother, James Pearce (Hollis) of Forestville, MD; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
