82, a resident of Universal Healthcare, died Thursday, July 6 at Granville Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Cardell Branch and Clarene Branch.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Jones of Henderson; a step-daughter, Regina Evans of Raleigh; four step-granddaughter, Dana Evans, Shamara Evans, Lacole Dunn and Stanina Williams; a step-grandson, Shamar Evans; six nephews, Arthur Burwell (Shelia) of Creedmoor, Rev. Lawrence Burwell (Edith) of Columbia, SC, Rev. Jesse Burwell, Jr. (Pearl) of Las Vegas, NV, John Burwell (Shirley) of Oxford, Gary Burwell (Mary) of Burlington and Rev. Charles Burwell (Barbara) of Henderson; a sister-in-law, Ruby Brandon of Oxford; two brothers-in-law, Moses Jones (Shelia) of Charlotte and Edwards Jones of Oxford.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, July 10 at 11:00 A.M. at Wright Funeral Home Chapel.
