81, a resident of 1006 Raleigh St., died Thursday, Oct. 1 at Brantwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the daughter of the late Oliver Poole and Julia Sullivan Poole of Lauren, SC.

She is survived by a husband, Rev. Joel Norwood; three daughters, Jacqueline Norwood of Henderson, Julia Banks of Greenville and Elizabeth Harris of Laurel, MD; four sons, Joel Norwood, Jr. of Raleigh, James Norwood of New York, NY, Kelvin Norwood of Henderson and Reginald Norwood of Willingsboro, NJ; ten grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Oct.7 at 2:00 P.M. at Oak Grove Baptist Church by Rev. Willie S. Darby. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held Tuesday, Oct. 6 from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home.
