92, a former resident of 330 Henderson Street, died Wednesday, July 29 at Universal Healthcare of Oxford. She was the daughter of the late Mary Ragland. She was a retired 30-year Dietiary Supervisor with Granville Medical Center. She was the widow of the late Lee McCoy Tyler.
She is survived by three sons, Joseph Tyler (Bertina). Howard Tyler II (Rita), and Arnold Tyler all of Oxford; ten grandchildren, Angela Facey (Carl), Jeffrey Tyler (Wendy), Keisha Tyler, Joseph Tyler, Tonya Dickerson (Alphonso), Caprisha Mutanga (Kadniel), Howard Tyler III, Shawn Harris, Joshua Tyler, and Jasper White (Terry); thirteen great grandchildren; sixteen great-great grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, and life-long friends Myrtle Green, Majorie Puryear and Ann Harris.
A graveside service (limited to fifty (50) attendees selected by the family/observing Covid-19 guidelines of face masks and social distancing of six feet or more will be conducted Saturday, August 1 at 11:00 A.M. at Meadowview Memorial Park by Bishop Richard Williams. There will be no public viewing.
CAUTION: Please do not (DO NOT) hug in greeting your family and friends at the cemetery. A simple wave is acceptable. This virus is deadly, so please respect it. Don't forget your umbrella, its dangerously hot in the cemetery.
