Ernestine Barnes Eaton , 73 of 1202 East E Street Butner, transitioned on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at her residence. She was born in Granville County to the late Mary Barnes Robertson.

She is survived by two daughters: Tatia Eaton of Durham and Tennille Eaton Smith (Gregory) of Butner; three grandchildren; three sisters: Esther Vaughn of Apex, Mary Jackson (Leroy) of Washington, DC, Deborah Ramsey of Burlington; and one brother, Robert Taborn Jr.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm, Saturday, September 20 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in South Granville Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be from 5 pm to 7 pm Friday at Wright Funeral Home.
