70, a resident of 146 Coventry Dr., died Friday, Jan. 27 at Duke University Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Wilbert Morton and Bessie Hedgepeth Morton. She was a retired employee of Walmart, and a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Brian Jones (Keisha) of Creedmoor; two brothers William Morton, Sr. (Lois) and Robert Morton (Pattie) both of Oxford; a devoted sister-in-law, Harriett Morton also of Oxford; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 2pm at Antioch Baptist Church by Rev. Joe David Shaw. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 31 from 5pm-7pm at Wright Funeral Home. Covid-19 protocols of facial coverings and social distancing of six feet or more will be observed.
