82, a resident of 308 Person Street, died Wednesday, May 18 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Cooper and Seberita Howell Cooper.

She is survived by two daughters, Shelley Thornton of Kittrell, and Janice Thornton of the home; a sister, Lizzie Buie of Durham; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Rev. Susie Daniel will conduct a graveside service Monday, May 23 at 1pm at Meadowview Memorial Park. A viewing is scheduled for Sunday, May 22 from 4pm-6pm at Wright Funeral Home. The family is requesting that Covid-19 protocols of facial coverings and social distancing be observed.
