Ellis Moore, 78, of 1203 Shining Water Lane, Creedmoor, transitioned on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Duke Hock Family Pavilion in Durham. He was born in Granville County to the late Matthew and Adell Jordan Moore.

He is survived by his wife, Wyvette Young-Moore of Creedmoor; four children: Steven Moore, Terry Moore (Jovita), and Jeneen Moore (Brandon) all  of Philadelphia, PA, and Timeca Bullock (Marvin) of Raleigh; siblings: Bernard Moore (Rita) of Greensboro, Linda Brodie of Oxford, Shirley Rice  of Elkins Park, PA, Carrie "Tina" Pearson of Queens,  NY, Delmertice Lipscomb (Measie) of Oxford, Dorothy Dunn of Raleigh, NC, Brenda Latta (Edward) of Oxford, and Nell Fields of Oxford; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm, Saturday, August 23 at Huntsville Baptist Church by Reverend Vernon Thompson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be at the church one hour prior to the service.
