Ellis Hawley, 64, of Tristen Lane, Henderson, transitioned on Monday, July 6, 2026 at his residence. He was born in Granville County to the late Lucious and Willa B. Hobgood Hawley.

He is survied by his wife, Lillian Smith Vinson-Hawley; children: Liliane Bacote (Shawn), Linette Suite, Rhonda Suite, and Tony Harris all of Henderson; twelve grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; three siblings: Kenneth Hawley and Cecil Hawley both of Oxford and Delia Kirkland of Holt, MI.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm, Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the St. Simeons Cemetery on Satterwhite Road. Viewing will be from 5pm to 7pm, Friday at Wright Funeral Home.
