67, died Thursday, April 27 at Duke University Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Floyd Satterfield and Lillian Lyon Satterfield.

She is survived by her husband, George E. Thorpe; sons, George Anthony Thorpe (April), Dr. Lynn Thorpe and Joshua Thorpe (Maria); siblings, Floyd Satterfield, James Ned Satterfield, Chester Satterfield and Luewanda Greene (Kenneth); and six grandchildren.

There will be no public viewing. A graveside service will be conducted Monday, May 1 at 2pm at White Rock Baptist Church cemetery by Rev. Steven Hargrove. The family ask that you please respect their effort to adhere to Ellerenes final request.
