81, a resident of 130 Halifax Street, died Thursday, January 6 at her home. She was the daughter of the late George Strater and Blanche Allen Strater. She was a retired Teacher.

She is survived by two daughtrers, Carla R. Marrow of Oxford, and Lisa L. Ellis of Durham; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, January 12 at 2pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church cemetery by Rev. Charles Burwell. A viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, January 11 from 4pm-6pm at Wright Funeral Home.
