80, a resident of 114 Henry Street, transitioned Monday, April 1 at Maria Parham Medical Center. He was the son of the late Ellis Taylor and Irene Winston Taylor. He was a retired employee of Burlington Industries and a United States Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife Carrie Harris Taylor; his son, Elbert T. Taylor of the home; two sisters, Emma Grey Taylor Williams and Etta T. Petty both of Oxford; and a vast number of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and caring friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 9 at 2pm at Wright Funeral Chapel by Rev. Edward Davis. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park. Attendees are reminded to wear masks and practice social distancing. A viewing is scheduled for Monday, April 8 from 4pm-6pm at the funeral home.
