74, a native of Granville County and a resident of 4403 Lazy River Road, Durham, died Sunday, Dec. 25 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Isaac Lee Herndon, Sr. and Ruby Cooper Herndon. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a retired College Professor.

She is survived by a daughter and son, Felicia Yarborough of Durham and Kipchoge K. Yarborough of the home and four sisters, Patricia Henderson and Irishtine P. Cox both of Oxford, Rev. E. Jean Moore and   Yvonne Rogers both of Durham.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Dec. 30 at 1pm at First Baptist Church by Rev. Edward Davis and Rev. Lacey Joyner. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park. A viewing is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 29 from 6pm-8pm at Wright Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church. Covid-19 protocols of facial coverings and social distancing of six feet or more will be observed at all services. A more complete obituary will be forthcoming.
