Obituary

89, a resident of 106 Garden Park Drive, died Saturday, February 6 at Duke Hospice. She was the daughter of the late Tony James McCray and Annie Lee Jones McCray of Meridian, FL.

She is survived by six daughters, Vivian Glasco, Priscilla Spencer, Sandra Bowden, Antonette Roberts and Regina Bowden-Allen (James) all of Oxford, and Venita McFarlin (Ernest) of Fayetteville; two sons, Timothy Bowden (Deborah) of Henderson, and Antonio Bowden of Oxford; three god-sons, Emanuel C. Allen, Frank Thomas, and Fredrick Thomas; one god-daughter, Deborah Marable of Durham; a daughter-in-law Betty Bowden; twenty-seven grandchildren; fifty-three great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Calvin Bowden.

A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, February 10 at 1:00 P.M. at Meadowview Memorial Park by Rev. Willie S. Darby. A viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, February 9 from 4PM-6PM at Wright Funeral Home. All Covid-19 guidelines will be observed (face coverings and social distancing of six feet or more. Viewings are limited to no more than ten people inside at any one time).
