67, a resident of 2626 Bryans Hill Road., died Monday, May 30 at 4203 Belltown Rd. She was the daughter of the late Irvin Hawkins and Martha Gooch Hawkins. She was a retired Senior Vice President/Treasurer with North Carolina Mutual Management Investment Firm.

She is survived by her husband, James E. Noel; one daughter, Tammy Black Cozart of Oxford;four step daughters, Carolyn Mcteer, Valeri Lockhart and Marcel Noel all of New Jersey and Sonya Earving of Colorado; a granddaughter, Kendrah Freeman of Oxford; a grandson, Terrence Black, Greensboro, NC;eight step grandchildren; three sisters, Martha Hawkins of Oxford, Catherine Hicks of Fayetteville and Josephine Blackwell of Roxboro; one brother, Roosevelt Hawkins of Oxford;four special cousins who were raised as her siblings, Marie Moore, Doretha Williams, Charles Purvis and James Thomas Williams all of Raleigh; a foster brother, John Bobbitt, Raleigh; and one aunt, Betty Hawkins Winston, Oxford.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 3 at 1:00 P.M. at Tally Ho Baptist Church by Rev. Moses Fletcher and Rev. John Gooch. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive visitors Thursday, June 2 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Martha Hawkins, 4203 Belltown Road.
