74, a resident of 7085 Bayberry Drive, transitioned Friday, August 30 at Granville Medical Center. He was the son of the late Joseph Smith and Queen Harris Smith.

He is survived by his wife Tiffany Ashford Smith; five daughters, LaWanda Terry of Raleigh, Tramikia Terry of Creedmoor, Jennifer Gardner (DuJuan) of Clayton, Jessica McKinney (Byron) of Stem and Amiracle Smith of the home; one son, Lawrence Terry (Miranda) of Durham; four sisters Betty Small of Oxford, Lillian Day of Bullock, Joanne Finley and Teresa Harris both of Virginia; two brothers, Arthur "Coy" Smith (Rosiland)  and Michael Smith (Terra)  both of Oxford; eleven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 7 at 2pm at Wright Funeral Home Chapel by Prophet Zack C.  Ausby. Burial will be in New Jonathan Creek Baptist Church cemetery. A viewing is scheduled for Friday, September 6 from 5pm-7pm at the funeral Home.
