84, a resident of 1306 Goshen Street, died Tuesday, November 6 at Universal Health Care. He was the son of the late Alexander Yancey and Lena Greenwood Yancey. He was a retired truck driver.

He is survived by four sons, Michael Yancey of Newark, NJ, Tyre Matthews and Rashaan Bullock both of Raleigh, and Alvin Landis of Henderson; two daughters, Michele Yancey of Newark, NJ and Antoinette Carr of Maryland; five sisters, Emma Harris of Oxford, Ida Taylor of New York, NY, Ola Watts of Philadelphia, PA, Charlotte Mann of Bunn, and Minnie Parker of Kittrell; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 12 at 1:00 P.M. at Huntsville Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing is scheduled for Sunday, November 11 from 11:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home.
