92, a resident of 6671 Highway 15 North, died Wednesday, May 3 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Jimmy Wimbush and Pearl Hawkins Wimbush.

She was a former employee of C. G. Cradle Elementary School and W. A. Adams Tobacco Company. She was a member of Baptist Grove Baptist Church where she served President of the Missionary Circle, Church secretary, Usher and Choir member. She was also a  member of Hester Crews Post #166 Ladies Auxiliary, Extension Volunteer Association and the EVA Club of Stovall.

She is survived by three sons, Nathaniel Lindsey (Joyce Ann) of Oxford, George Douglas Lindsey (Myra) of Virginia Beach, VA and Eugene Wilson of Oxford; four daughters, Doris Outlaw of Oxford, Marcia Ann Lindsey-Brothers (Johnny) of Norfolk, VA, Virginia D. Lindsey and Gloria both of Butner; a grandson she raised as her own, Homer C. Outlaw, Jr.; two adopted sons, Rickey Phillips (Sharon) of Newport News, VA and Michael Hicks (Robin) of Oxford; fifteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 8 at 1:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home Chapel by Reverend Michael Alston.  Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park.  A viewing is scheduled for Sunday, May 7 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home.
