74, a resident of 14813 New Light Road in Wake Forest, died Sunday, Oct. 30 at Duke Regional Hospital. She was the daughter of Eugene T. Evans of Wake Forest and the late Ruth Burton Evans. She was a retired employee of John Umstead Hospital.

Other survivors include her husband, James  R. Morton; two sons, James D. Morton and Vincent C. Morton both of Wake Forest; a daughter, Kenya M. Jones also of Wake Forest; two brothers, Ralph Bowman of Creedmoor and Sylvester Morgan of Wake Forest; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Nov. 5 at 1:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ronnie Morton. Burial will be in the Evans Family cemetery. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to services at Wright Funeral Home. No public viewing is scheduled.
